Did your car break down in the middle of a public road? This is an unpleasant but common situation. Cars such as slidecar Suk Sawat (รถสไลด์สุขสวัสดิ์ which is the term in Thai) and motorcycles are machines, and they often have problems. Most problems can be avoided with preventive maintenance, but there are inevitable and unpredictable breakdowns.

Did Your Car Break Down?

Usually, people have difficulty dealing with atypical situations due to a lack of experience with such an occurrence. For this reason, we left 5 tips to help people decide how to act correctly if there is a mechanical or electrical problem with their vehicles. Read all the tips carefully; they can help you not to take possible risks in a moment of breakdown with your car or motorcycle, or even disturb the public road.

1 – Your Car Broke Down, Ok? Keep Calm

Easy to say. Because this tip is given for various situations, keeping calm helps us make decisions more rationally, and nervousness takes our attention and makes us more prone to making mistakes. So, keeping calm when the vehicle has a problem is essential. As a first thought solving the problem, immediately worrying about the cost to fix the vehicle and possible delay in your appointment will not help you at this time.

2- The Priority Is Safety

Safety first, a breakdown in your vehicle can lead to an accident, so remember that the best thing to do is move the vehicle to a place with little traffic (side, gas station, lane with less traffic).

Signaling Triangle

There are situations where it is not possible to move the vehicle, in which case, signal the road with the triangle and do not leave the triangle too close to your car; according to the CTB (Brazilian Traffic Code), the minimum distance to position the signal is 30 meters. However, in the case of local roads with a maximum speed of 40 km/h, 40 steps for the beginning of the signaling; for avenues with a maximum speed of 60 km/h, count 60 steps for the beginning of the signaling, in fast-flowing roads with maximum speed speeds of 80 km/h, take 80 steps to start the signal. Following this procedure, the triangle will be at an ideal distance to alert motorists about coming in your direction.

3 – Time To Go

Now that the vehicle is in a safe place and is not at risk of accidents, you need to leave; for that, you will need a tow truck; try to hire a regulated tow truck with its documentation in order, and who knows what they are doing. People usually ask for the vehicle to be transported to their homes. Still, if there is the possibility of transporting their vehicle directly to a mechanic shop for repairs, this is more recommended, as it will reduce your cost with the winches.
